By  |

Pabst Racing will have a familiar face behind the wheel in 2018 as they announced Lucas Kohl will drive the No. 22 entry for the entire Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda schedule.

“We built a solid relationship with Lucas in 2017 and we are thrilled to continue building his program into 2018,” said team owner Augie Pabst. “Lucas now has the confidence and experience to be a contender every weekend.”

The 19-year-old placed seventh in last year’s standings following three top-fives, including a season-best third at Road America.

“The whole Pabst Racing team works really well together and for me it is an honor to be part of the team,” said Kohl. “We come from a strong 2017 where we won the team championship, and I hope we can go for more in 2018!”

The Brazilian will have sponsorship from Belko trading, Kohltrade and IVI Vision.

Pabst Racing stated the rest of their driver lineup will be revealed “in the near future.”
